Welcome to the Intellectual Enterprise Zones

South Dublin County Development Board in partnership with FAS, the Department of Social and FamilyAffairs and the Institute of Technology Tallaght are developing the concept of Intellectual Enterprise Zones in the County.

This exciting initiative proposes to set up a network of intellectual enterprise zones throughout the county where individuals and SMEs can use a dedicated desk/office space on a time share basis to run and operate their business start-ups. The initiative is targeted at those on the live register and through collaboration with Social Welfare and FAS, a proportion of the register locally have been directly contacted to participate.

In tandem with the physical space, a virtual business campus is being developed to encourage networking between like-minded professionals with a view to creating new business opportunities. Through our partners, training, seminars and mentoring will also be offered.        

The initial physical zone will be located in County Hall,Tallaght but we hope to cluster further zones at key locations throughout the County, namely in town centre locations with access to public infrastructure such as the LUAS.      

To date, over 150 people have signed up to join the initiative.  Some have firm business ideas but there are also many people getting involved with a view to sharing their skills with potential future partners.
